Devices! Gadgets! Related apparatus! This hands-on class covers the proper, safe, and effective use of various types of hand and power tools most commonly needed for routine and long-term motorcycle care.

 Topics covered include:

  • identifying, defining, and analyzing the various types, sizes, grades, and purposes of fasteners and hardware

  • the differences between reusable and consumable hardware and materials

  • selecting and using the correct tools for specific jobs

  • how to correctly handle, care for, and store tools, equipment, and materials

  • understanding and exercising safety precautions, and the proper use of personal protective equipment

  • roadside safety tips on assessing and managing common issues that can arise when out riding 

Please note: Metric hardware and tools will be used during the hands-on portions of this class, but the basic concepts and principles are equally applicable to SAE hardware
